BAA not Coping Crowded London Airports capacity is over stretched by 20 million travellers a year
BAA, who own Heathrow are not coping with the huge transport demand - we have yet to see how they deal with elements of our mild winters. Certainly the profits will remain high with little competition.
-
Perhaps they should be reminded that two regulators this year released reports threatening to cut its profits the Civil Aviation Authority threatening to reducing the returns that BAA is allowed to earn from Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
The Office of Fair Trading has requested the Competition Commission to investigate BAA's market dominance. as BAA owns its two principal London competitors, Gatwick and Stansted, and other airports
It is time that BAA's monopoly is broken up or more regulated price controls kept in place
